UPCAT Refresher Course 2012
AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center recently conducted an UPCAT Refresher Course aimed at refreshing the minds of students who took the UPCAT review last summer. Held last July 15, 2012 at 1 Esplanade, SM Mall of Asia Complex, it was attended by almost a thousand students from different AHEAD branches all over Metro Manila.
As early as 7:30 a.m., students were already at the grounds, eager to attend the much-awaited event. The learning sessions were conducted by seasoned AHEAD lecturers namely, Karlo Ivan Fontanilla on Science, Inna Claudio on Language, and PM Hernandez on Mathematics. Each had his unique way of giving students useful tips and practical lessons in a fun way.
In between the lectures were games which stimulated the competitive nature of the students. The most memorable proved to be “Pickup Line” with each branch having a representative who gave a pickup line in relation to education. The students’ spirits were revitalized as well by the heartwarming testimonials given by AHEAD’s review assistants as they shared their experience of taking the UPCAT.
The highlight of the event was the inspirational talk given by AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center President Rossana Llenado. Apart from sharing useful test taking tips to the students, Llenado also encouraged them to give their best during the UPCAT. She emphasized that gaining admission to this top university can lead to their success in the future. The students got so excited that when she asked if they would pass the UPCAT, Llenado was answered with a resounding “YES!” The course ended with everybody singing the moving song, “I Believe I Can Fly.” AHEAD’s UPCAT Refresher Course definitely gave the students everything that they need to be fighting maroons.
