Japanese Studies Scholarship

Requirements
– Applicants must be from 17 to 21 years of age as of April 1 of the year of departure
– Applicants must have graduated from high school by March of the year of departure
– Applicants must learn and receive instruction in the Japanese language

What the scholarship includes
–  Five-year scholarship with courses related to natural sciences or social sciences
–  Monthly allowance of 117,000 yen
–  Transportation cost going to and from the country

New Zealand ASEAN Scholars Award (NZAS)

Requirements
– Minimum of 18 years of age at the time of scholarship
–  Be a citizen of the country from which you are applying for a scholarship
–  Must not have citizenship or permanent residence status in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, European Union countries, United Kingdom, Japan, Israel, South Korea, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia
–  Resided in your home country for at least two years immediately prior to commencing your scholarship
–  At least two years of work experience (part-time or full-time, paid or voluntary)
– Not a serving military personnel
–  Be able to satisfy Immigration requirements for international student entry to New Zealand or the country in which you will undertake your scholarship
–  Be academically and linguistically able to obtain an Offer of Place for the proposed program of study from the tertiary institute where you will undertake your scholarship
–  Not have been previously terminated from a New Zealand Government Scholarship
– Seek a qualification that will contribute to the sustainable development of your home country
–  Commit to return to your country for a minimum of 2 years at the end of your scholarship

What the scholarship includes
–  Fully-funded tuition
–  Financial support including a fortnightly living allowance, an establishment allowance, medical and travel insurance, travel to and from your home country at the start and end of your scholarship, home leave or reunion travel for some students, and assistance with research and thesis costs for most postgraduate research students
–  Personal and academic support

NUS Graduate Scholarship for ASEAN Nationals

Requirements
–  Excellent academic record and admission to a NUS Faculty/School to pursue a designated graduate degree
–  Good command of the English language

What the scholarship includes
–  Monthly stipend of S$1,350
–  One-time book allowance of S$500
–  Visa and Student’s Pass Fee
–  Medical examination fees for Student’s Pass application (capped at S$60)
–  Tuition fees and Miscellaneous Student Fees at NUS and throughout the period of the award
–  Cost of economy travel directly from the home country to Singapore and back

Philippine International Aid-Wells Fargo Scholarship

Requirements
– Ethnic heritage: Filipino (at least 25%)
– Grade level: Incoming freshman at an accredited community college, technical college or four-year college/university in 2015-16
–  College/university must be located in California
– Minimum GPA: 2.75
– Financial need (maximum $77,700 household income)
– US citizen or permanent resident
–  Residency: Any California city/county, with a preference for low-income areas
–  Preference given to those with volunteer service in the Filipino American community
